After a successful debut year, the management at Estancia La Jolla researched how they could improve the conference center hotel. They surveyed past guests and meeting planners to hear first hand what they would like Estancia to offer.  Based on the responses, Estancia recently created new meeting packages that include additional technological resources and more flexibility. “After surveying past guests and meeting planners, the one thing that kept recurring was the desire for more flexibility with the packages we were offering.  In response we designed packages that were flexible and easily adjustable for each unique group that stays at Estancia,” said Mark Podolski, director of sales and marketing for Estancia La Jolla.

To showcase the survey results, Estancia La Jolla offers a series of meeting packages combining all aspects of a successful meeting into an easy-to-purchase and -plan, value-oriented, luxury experience. These comprehensive, all-inclusive meeting packages include the Complete Meeting Package, the Modified Meeting Package, the Day Meeting Package as well as the Half Day meeting package and the Flexible Meeting Package.  

Estancia La Jolla’s Meeting Packages

The Complete Meeting Package (CMP) includes essentials such as a deluxe guestroom; buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner; bountiful, private conference areas that provide continuous refreshment breaks during a long day of meetings; twenty-four hour meeting space rental; audio visual equipment such as flip charts, an LCD projector screen and stand as well as a personal conference service manager.  The CMP has a simplified method of pricing that groups can use by totaling all conference-related charges into one convenient, easy-to-budget cost per attendee. This pricing plan helps enhance productivity and the quality of selections for meeting planners while maximizing value. 

 The Modified Meeting Package (MMP) is designed for groups that incorporate evening off-site activities and local La Jolla attractions into their meeting itinerary. This package offers all the benefits of the CMP except dinner. Another tailored option is the Day Meeting Package (DMP).The DMP is a cost-efficient way to budget and plan for day meetings when the majority of guests are staying for a full day of meetings but not overnight as a hotel guest.  The DMP offers a simplified method of pricing that combines the meeting space, meals, refreshment breaks, audio/visual and conference planning manager into one, all-inclusive price per person. 

In addition to the Modified and Day Meeting Packages, Estancia La Jolla designed a Half Day Meeting Package to meet the needs of groups who plan to convene only in the morning or afternoon.  It includes all of the above amenities with the exception of either a morning or afternoon refreshment break. Lastly, the Flexible Meeting Package (FMP) is available for meeting planners who prefer to customize a package with any of the above benefits. For example, a package can be designed to include the all day refreshment breaks, 24-hour meeting space and audio-visual equipment and also allow for a special dinner meal at the resort in the evening utilizing any of Estancia’s fine restaurants. “Our meeting solutions allow the event planner to focus on the content and strategic direction of the conference rather than the details of planning the meeting,” said Mark Podolski. “With the unique vision of our talented staff, every event is customized to fit individual needs and every package is designed to match the requirements of the group.” With the addition of these packages Estancia La Jolla has the ultimate meeting and convention offerings for every group or gathering.

The Meeting Space

Estancia La Jolla is certified by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). This status designates that the hotel has been specifically engineered to meet all of the association’s stringent requirements regarding a productive conference environment. Luxury has been infused into the meeting areas which feature fully adjustable ergonomic chairs; 30-inch wide meeting tables with non-glare, hard writing surfaces; programmable lighting and acoustics; tackable wall surfaces; master heating and lighting switches and complimentary wireless high speed Internet connectivity throughout the entire property. The adjustable ergonomic seats, otherwise known as the ‘8-hour chair’, provide a comfort level unlike any banquet style seating, allowing attendees excellent back support and the flexibility to customize their comfort. The 25,000 square-foot Learning Retreat is an aesthetically refreshing environment for business meetings.  This unique and attractive environment helps attendees renew focus, share ideas and gain new energy.
